Orson and Toggl Track.
Toggl Track is a working timer and reporting service with a Mac app. Orson is building an individual workday flow that joins scheduled app setup to private, editable time records.
Orson's manual timers, time review, and reports are not yet usable in the app. Its signed download and checkout are not available.
What Toggl Track already does
The Mac app supports timers, an optional background activity timeline, idle detection, and offline entries that sync later. Its plans include a free tier. A Toggl account is required to use the Mac app.
For an existing team or shared reporting process, Toggl has capabilities that Orson is not setting out to replace.
What Orson is planning
Orson already starts selected apps on a work schedule and provides visible local awake/activity controls. The planned first-release timeline is off by default and encrypted on the Mac.
Manual timers may run beyond scheduled hours when you start them. You will review and correct entries before exporting a client report. Tracking and screenshot/OCR permissions are separate. These features still need their app UI.
Which one fits?
Choose Toggl Track if you need timers, reporting, or team coordination now.
Follow Orson if you want a local, individual Mac workday with opt-in review once it is ready.
